Truck driver arrested following Two Wells crash

A 64-year-old truck driver has been arrested, following a serious crash at Two Wells yesterday morning (Thursday October 2).
In a statement, South Australia Police said they were called to the intersection of Port Wakefield Highway and Middle Beach Road after a truck and Toyota SUV collided at the scene, just after 9.30am.
“The driver of the Toyota, a 46-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy were airlifted to hospital in Adelaide after sustaining life-threatening injuries. Two other boys aged 10 and 13 were taken to hospital by road with non life-threatening injuries. All persons in the car were from Prospect.”
The truck driver, from Two Wells, man was not injured.
Major Crash Investigators attended the scene to determine how the crash occurred – and later yesterday afternoon, the truck driver was arrested and charged with cause serious harm after careless use of a vehicle.
He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on November 13 and issued an indefinite immediate loss of licence notice.
Port Wakefield Highway was closed in both directions but has since been reopened.
