The South Australian Government has enacted the Tobacco and E-Cigarette Products (Smoking bans) Amendment Regulations 2023, effective from March 1, 2024. These regulations establish smoke-free and vape-free zones in various public areas, including early childhood services, non-residential building entrances, public hospitals, outdoor swimming facilities, major events venues, sporting venues, and beaches. To comply, workplaces must display signs with appropriate messaging. The Government has arranged downloadable, print-ready versions of a large range of signs which may be accessed via clearingtheair.sa.gov.au. An awareness campaign is scheduled for launch in the coming weeks by the South Australian Government. In the meanwhile, however, you can use the information on the website to keep your staff informed.
